PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi market contains a logical tautology: both Team Secret victory and Fnatic victory resolve to Yes, making the market unresolvable and eliminating any meaningful price discovery. This is a data integrity failure in the Kalshi resolution criteria.Hero tip: Do not trade Kalshi and Polymarket against each other on this event. Polymarket is the only logically coherent market. If Kalshi intends a different market structure (e.g., Yes = Fnatic wins, No = Team Secret wins), the criteria must be corrected before trading.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Binary outcome market with three possible resolutions: Team Secret (if Team Secret wins), Fnatic (if Fnatic wins), or 50-50 (if cancelled, tied, forfeited before start, or delayed beyond 7 days). Resolution source is Liquipedia, with fallback to credible reporting within 2 hours of conclusion.
  • Kalshi: Logically contradictory resolution criteria: 'If Fnatic wins...resolves to Yes' AND 'If Team Secret wins...resolves to Yes'. Both possible match outcomes map to the same resolution state, creating a tautology that makes the market unresolvable.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Rainbow Six Siege match between Team Secret and Fnatic in the Europe MENA League Stage 1 Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 29 at 12:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Secret" if Team Secret win the match against Fnatic. This market will resolve to "Fnatic" if Fnatic win the match against Team Secret. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like these operate on crowd-sourced pricing rather than traditional sportsbook models. Instead of fixed odds set by oddsmakers, traders continuously buy and sell shares reflecting their belief in each outcome. This mechanism often surfaces sharper, more dynamic pricing—especially for niche esports events where sportsbooks may have limited liquidity. Prediction market odds tend to adjust faster to new information and can reveal where informed traders see value that traditional books haven't yet priced in.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and rule frameworks. Polymarket and Kalshi may have distinct user bases with varying risk appetites, information access, or time zones. Order flow imbalances on one platform can push prices apart temporarily. Additionally, subtle differences in market structure—such as fee schedules or settlement mechanics—create arbitrage opportunities that keep prices from perfectly converging. Monitoring both venues helps you identify mispricings and execute smarter trades.

Several catalysts can shift odds before the match plays out. Roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements for either team will likely trigger repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and map pool advantages can influence trader sentiment. Pre-match interviews, coaching changes, or leaked practice scrim results may also move the needle. Additionally, broader esports news—sponsorship drama, team morale reports, or meta-game shifts in Rainbow Six Siege—can sway the crowd's collective assessment of win probability.
