PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi market contains a logical contradiction where both possible match outcomes (Team Liquid win and LOS win) are mapped to the same resolution state (Yes), making the market fundamentally unresolvable and creating data integrity failure.Hero tip: Do not trade on Kalshi until the market terms are corrected. The Kalshi market as currently written will resolve to Yes regardless of match outcome, eliminating any predictive value. Polymarket offers a coherent binary structure and should be the primary trading venue for this event.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Binary outcome market with clear winner determination. Resolves to LOS if LOS wins, Team Liquid if Team Liquid wins. Cancellations, ties, delays >7 days, and pre-match forfeits resolve 50-50. Mid-match forfeits resolve to the winning team. Source: Liquipedia with 2-hour credible reporting fallback.
  • Kalshi: Logically incoherent structure: 'If Team Liquid wins...resolves to Yes' AND 'If LOS wins...resolves to Yes'. Both mutually exclusive outcomes map to identical resolution, violating binary market logic and making outcome discrimination impossible.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Rainbow Six Siege match between LOS and Team Liquid in the South America League Stage 1 Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 12 at 2:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "LOS" if LOS win the match against Team Liquid. This market will resolve to "Team Liquid" if Team Liquid win the match against LOS. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the outcome of the South America League Stage 1 2026 Rainbow Six Siege match between Team Liquid and LOS scheduled for July 12, 2026 at 2:30 PM EDT. The market resolves to Yes for whichever team wins the match.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently due to their distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets rely on supply and demand from thousands of independent traders. This often means prediction market prices reflect broader consensus sentiment and can move faster in response to new information. For esports events like this one, prediction markets may offer tighter spreads and more granular probability estimates than mainstream sportsbooks, which sometimes limit esports coverage. Comparing this market's odds to available sportsbook lines can reveal where the two communities diverge in their assessment of the matchup.

Polymarket and Kalshi serve different trader demographics and operate under distinct regulatory frameworks, which naturally produces pricing divergence. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Liquidity distribution, user expertise, and platform-specific incentives all influence how each venue prices the same event. One platform may attract more esports specialists, while the other draws general prediction market participants, leading to different risk assessments. Additionally, order book depth and trading activity vary between venues, so a large trade on one platform may move prices faster than on the other. Monitoring both helps you identify arbitrage opportunities and understand which platform's pricing may be more efficient for this particular matchup.

Several catalysts may shift odds before the fixture kicks off. Roster announcements or player substitutions for either team could signal a change in competitive strength. Recent tournament results, scrim outcomes, or public statements from coaches and analysts often influence trader sentiment. Meta shifts in the game itself—new operator bans, map rotations, or balance patches—can favor one team's playstyle over the other. Injury or availability news, travel delays, or technical issues during the broadcast may also trigger repricing. Additionally, early betting action and sharp money moving into one side can create momentum that draws retail traders, amplifying price movement in this market.
