PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's resolution logic contains a logical contradiction: the market resolves to Yes if either INTZ or Team Liquid wins, leaving no valid condition for a No resolution in a standard match outcome. This makes the market fundamentally unresolvable under normal circumstances.Hero tip: Do not trade the Kalshi market until the resolution criteria is clarified. The current logic suggests either a data entry error or a misunderstanding of the market type. Contact Kalshi support to confirm whether this should be a binary match-winner market (like Polymarket) or a different contract type entirely.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Binary match-outcome market with two mutually exclusive outcomes: INTZ wins or Team Liquid wins. Resolves 50-50 for cancellations, ties, delays beyond 7 days without a winner, or pre-match forfeits. Source: Liquipedia with 2-hour credible reporting fallback. Key quote: 'This market will resolve to INTZ if INTZ win the match against Team Liquid' and 'This market will resolve to Team Liquid if Team Liquid win the match against INTZ.'
  • Kalshi: Market resolves to Yes if Team Liquid wins the match OR if INTZ wins the match. No condition for No resolution is specified for standard match outcomes. Key quote: 'If Team Liquid wins...then the market resolves to Yes. If INTZ wins...then the market resolves to Yes.' This creates a logical impossibility where any match result triggers a Yes resolution.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Rainbow Six Siege match between INTZ and Team Liquid in the South America League Stage 1 Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 13 at 12:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "INTZ" if INTZ win the match against Team Liquid. This market will resolve to "Team Liquid" if Team Liquid win the match against INTZ. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi often reflect different odds than traditional sportsbooks because they rely on decentralized trader consensus rather than bookmaker models. Sportsbooks factor in margin and manage liability across bets, while prediction markets aggregate belief directly from participants. For the INTZ vs Team Liquid match, prediction market odds may move faster or diverge based on esports-specific information flow, community expertise, and real-time trading dynamics that sportsbooks may lag in pricing.

Key catalysts include roster changes or player substitutions announced by either team, recent performance trends in the South America League, head-to-head historical records, and community sentiment shifts on social media or esports forums. In-game patch updates or map pool changes can also influence perceived team strength. Real-time updates during the broadcast—such as early round outcomes or tactical adjustments—will drive final price movement. Monitor team announcements and league news closely, as esports markets react quickly to new information about player form and strategic preparation.
