This market refers to the Rainbow Six Siege Upper bracket semifinal 2 match between Daystar and Team Orchid in the Asia Pacific League Asia - Stage 1 Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 7 at 8:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Daystar" if Daystar win the match against Team Orchid. This market will resolve to "Team Orchid" if Team Orchid win the match against Daystar. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/rainbowsix/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. In this market, the prediction market price reflects what thousands of participants collectively believe will happen, whereas a sportsbook line is designed by oddsmakers and adjusted for betting volume. Neither is inherently more accurate, but they can reveal different perspectives on the likelihood of outcomes. Comparing both can highlight where consensus is strong or where disagreement exists.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects strong confidence in one side of the matchup, with the price adjusting continuously as new trades execute. Shares that represent Daystar winning or Team Orchid winning trade at complementary prices that always sum to $1.00. This mechanism ensures that the market price at any moment represents the collective assessment of all active traders, with deeper liquidity typically producing tighter spreads and more reliable price signals.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the Asia Pacific League Asia Stage 1 Playoffs match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result reported by the esports league and verified through established reporting channels. Resolution depends on the final score of the best-of-three series, with the winner determined by who takes two games first. Until that point, the market remains open for trading and price adjustments.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the match concludes. Team roster announcements, player substitutions, or injury reports may alter perceived strength. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and performance trends in the current season provide ongoing signals about competitive form. Analyst commentary and community sentiment on social media can influence trader behavior. During the match itself, live performance—early map wins, tactical adjustments, and momentum swings—will drive rapid repricing. Pre-match preparation updates and any last-minute rule changes or format clarifications could also impact market expectations.
