This market assesses whether specific quarterbacks will rank among the top performers in fantasy football points during a designated week, using a points-per-reception scoring system that rewards both passing and rushing contributions.
Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the named quarterback finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points for all quarterbacks in Week 3 of the 2026 Pro Football regular season, as calculated by Sleeper. Points include passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, and defensive/special teams contributions, with specific values assigned to yards, touchdowns, interceptions, and other statistical categories. Players who do not participate in the week are considered to have scored zero points. If multiple players tie for the fifth position, contracts settle pro-rata based on the number of tied players (e.g., two tied players each settle at $0.50). All markets share these unified rules, with individual player performance determining outcomes.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows individuals to trade based on their own research and insights. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional forecasts, as they aggregate information from a diverse group of participants. However, sportsbook odds can provide a useful benchmark for comparison, and significant discrepancies may present potential trading opportunities within this market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different quarterbacks finishing in the top 5, and the price of each contract reflects the market's assessment of that outcome's probability. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing expectations. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and trading volume indicate the level of confidence traders have in each outcome, and the price movements can be influenced by news, injuries, and other factors affecting quarterback performance.
This market resolves around Sep 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final fantasy football point totals for quarterbacks in Week 3 of the NFL season are verifiable from credible public reporting. The quarterbacks who achieve the top 5 highest fantasy point scores will determine the winning contracts in this market. The resolution will be based on standard fantasy football scoring rules as defined by major fantasy sports platforms, ensuring a fair and transparent outcome for all participants.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Unexpected injuries to key quarterbacks, changes in team matchups, or even weather forecasts could all shift trader sentiment. News regarding a quarterback's health, such as a late-week injury report, would likely cause a rapid adjustment in the odds. Additionally, any significant changes in projected game scripts or offensive strategies could also influence trading activity. Monitoring these signals and staying informed about the latest NFL news will be crucial for successful trading in this market.
