Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows traders to express their own independent assessments. If a significant amount of money flows towards a particular outcome, the odds will adjust accordingly, potentially signaling a divergence from sportsbook expectations. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast probabilities as event time approaches, especially when informed traders participate and adjust their positions based on new information.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price fluctuates, providing a dynamic assessment of the potential result. The market's price is driven entirely by supply and demand, meaning traders collectively determine the odds based on their individual analysis and information.

This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will depend on the official result of the second half of the PSM Makassar vs. Persita Tangerang match. The platform will verify the result against official sources to determine which outcome is declared the winner. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final market prices at resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected lineup announcements or reports of player disputes could also cause significant price movements. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants, or even a shift in public opinion, can quickly alter the odds. Monitoring these signals and analyzing their potential impact on the match outcome is key to understanding how this market might evolve.
