Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of the market. It's common to see prediction market probabilities adjust more rapidly to new information or changing sentiment than sportsbook odds, as traders react quickly to developments.

The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand within Polymarket, and is not influenced by external factors or predetermined formulas.
