Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect real-time crowd sentiment rather than fixed bookmaker lines. Sportsbooks typically adjust odds more slowly and factor in their own margin. Comparing Polymarket prices to major sportsbooks like Bet365 or DraftKings can reveal value opportunities. Prediction markets tend to be more reactive to breaking news, player form, or injury updates, while sportsbooks may lag slightly. Tracking both venues helps identify when the crowd sees something the books haven't yet priced in.
