Intro

This market tracks the likelihood of the Pittsburgh Steelers winning at least 4 games during the 2026 NFL regular season. Currently, the consensus probability across Kalshi and Polymarket is 99.0% that they will achieve this. Resolution will be determined based on official NFL regular season records, specifically if the team wins at least 3 games in the 2026-27 regular season. PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket uses a 'greater than' threshold (e.g., >6.5 wins), while Kalshi uses an 'at least' threshold (e.g., >=1 win).Hero tip: Pay close attention to the specific threshold when trading. A small difference in the threshold can significantly impact the probability of resolution.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Markets ask if the Steelers will have *more than* a specified number of wins (e.g., >6.5). Resolution is 'Yes' if the Steelers' final win total exceeds the threshold. Source: https://www.nfl.com
  • Kalshi: Markets resolve 'Yes' if the Steelers win *at least* a specified number of games (e.g., >=1). Multiple markets exist for different win thresholds. Source: Kalshi's market definitions.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team's regular season win total exceeds the listed number. Otherwise this market will resolve to "No". Only official regular-season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. Only played games resulting in a win will count toward this total. If the listed team plays fewer games than scheduled due to cancellation, weather, forfeit, or any other reason, only actual wins recorded count toward the total; canceled or unplayed games do not count as wins. If the 2026 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after February 15, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many wins the listed team recorded within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be official NFL records (https://www.nfl.com); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Kalshi

The market resolves based on the Pittsburgh Pro Football team's total regular season wins during the 2026-27 season. Resolution occurs when the team completes its regular season schedule. Each outcome corresponds to a minimum win threshold, ranging from 1 to 17 wins. The market resolves to Yes for each outcome if the team achieves at least that threshold of wins during the regular season.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from expert analysis. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information, as traders react quickly to news and events impacting the Steelers’ prospects. The current volume of $445,995 suggests active trading and evolving expectations.

Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can differ due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structures, which can influence price discovery. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Furthermore, differing liquidity – the amount of volume available to trade – can cause temporary price discrepancies. The volume on this market is currently $445,995, but distribution between the platforms isn't equal. Market makers and arbitrageurs attempt to exploit these differences, but imbalances can persist, especially with evolving news about the Steelers’ roster and coaching staff.

This market resolves around Feb 16, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final win total for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2026 NFL season, as officially recorded by the NFL, will determine the outcome. This includes regular season games only; any postseason results are not considered. Traders should monitor official NFL standings and results leading up to the resolution date to understand how the market is likely to settle.

Numerous events could significantly impact this market. Major player acquisitions or injuries to key Steelers players, changes in coaching staff, or even shifts in the competitive landscape of the AFC North could all cause price fluctuations. Unexpected performance in the 2025 NFL season, or significant developments in the NFL draft, will also be closely watched. Any news affecting the Steelers’ projected strength of schedule could also move the market. With a current volume of $445,995, the market is sensitive to new information and evolving expectations.
