Polymarket

This market will resolve according to the player that takes the first snap at quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 1 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the Las Vegas Raiders; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than professional oddsmakers' models. Sportsbooks adjust lines to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets price outcomes based on collective belief and financial incentive. For the Raiders Week 1 QB decision, monitor both venues to spot discrepancies: if Polymarket shows significantly different odds than major sportsbooks, it may signal where informed traders see edge or where public perception differs from professional assessment.

The market resolves on Sep 14, 2026, marking the official start of the Raiders' Week 1 game. Resolution is determined by the quarterback who takes the first snap for Las Vegas in that contest. Official NFL records and broadcast confirmation serve as the source of truth. Once the game begins and the starting QB is confirmed, the market settles and traders receive payouts based on their positions. Early resolution may occur if the Raiders announce their starter before game time through official channels or media confirmation.

Key catalysts include injury announcements or updates to the Raiders' quarterback roster, coaching staff statements about starter plans, and preseason performance by competing candidates. Training camp reports, joint practices, and exhibition games provide on-field evidence of readiness. Trade activity or roster moves involving quarterbacks could shift expectations. Media leaks or official team communications closer to Week 1 often trigger sharp price moves. Additionally, developments affecting backup or veteran options—such as free-agent signings or depth chart changes—may influence the starting QB decision and market pricing.
