This market tracks whether Deshaun Watson will start at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in their first game of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. On Polymarket, Watson is priced at 93.0% to earn the starting nod. Resolution will be determined by official NFL and Cleveland Browns announcements, or by consensus of credible reporting if no formal announcement is made. Watch for the Browns' official starter designation ahead of Week 1 on September 14, 2026.
This market will resolve according to the player that is officially announced by the Cleveland Browns to be the starting quarterback in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. In the event that no starting quarterback is officially announced by the team, this market will resolve in favor of the listed quarterback who takes the field on the listed team’s first offensive play. In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the Cleveland Browns’ Week 1 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the quarterback who first directly receives a snap in the game. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the quarterback whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the Cleveland Browns; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
On Polymarket, the Pro Football: Browns Week 1 Starting QB market uses a binary outcome structure where traders buy and sell shares representing "Will Deshaun Watson be the Browns' Week 1 starting QB?" On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the probability traders assign to Watson starting, with shares trading between 0 and 1 dollar. Higher trading volume increases liquidity and narrows bid-ask spreads. Polymarket's automated market maker mechanism ensures continuous pricing, allowing traders to enter or exit positions at any time before the Sep 14, 2026 resolution deadline.
The market resolves on Sep 14, 2026, after the Browns' Week 1 game begins and the official starting quarterback is confirmed. Resolution is determined by official NFL sources and game broadcasts that confirm which quarterback takes the field for Cleveland's opening snap. Early injury announcements, inactive lists, or last-minute coaching decisions can all influence the final outcome. Once the game starts and the starter is official, the market settles based on that confirmed information.
Key catalysts include injury reports or practice participation updates for Watson or backup quarterbacks, official team announcements about depth chart changes, coaching staff comments during press conferences, and preseason performance. Contract disputes, trades, or unexpected roster moves could also shift market odds. Weather forecasts closer to game day, opponent defensive rankings, or Vegas line movements may influence trader sentiment. Breaking news from beat reporters covering the Browns organization often triggers immediate repricing as new information reaches the market.
