This prediction group asks participants to forecast which NFL player will have the most rushing yards during Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. The markets consider all players eligible to participate in Week 1 games.
This market will resolve in favor of the player that finishes Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most rushing yards. Only games designated by the NFL as Week 1 of the 2026-27 regular season count. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with more rushing touchdowns in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player with a higher yards per carry average in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to "Other". If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened or truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in rushing yards within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Each market resolves based on whether the specified player records the most rushing yards across all professional football games in Week 1 of the 2026 season. If the designated player achieves the highest yardage, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Should the player not participate in any game during Week 1, the market automatically resolves to No. In cases where multiple players tie for the highest rushing yards, the market resolves to a fractional outcome of 1/N, where N represents the number of players sharing the top position. Payouts for No outcomes are calculated as $1 minus the Yes payout, ensuring proportional returns to market holders based on the resolved outcome and tied conditions.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading rules, and fee structures, which can influence price discovery. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Furthermore, differing liquidity levels on each platform can lead to price discrepancies – a large trade on one platform might not have the same impact on the other. The volume of trading on each platform also plays a role; higher volume generally leads to more efficient price discovery. These differences create opportunities for arbitrage traders to profit from price variations.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL season. Preseason injuries to key running backs would undoubtedly shift probabilities, as would changes in team offensive schemes or coaching decisions. Significant news regarding player contracts or trades could also influence trading activity. Late-breaking reports on player health or depth chart changes will likely cause rapid adjustments in the odds on both Polymarket and Kalshi. Keep an eye on training camp reports and any news related to the leading contenders.
