This group of markets predicts the winner of the 2026-27 Associated Press (AP) NFL Coach of the Year award. The markets cover multiple coaches and include provisions for ties or cancellations of the season.
This market will resolve to the coach who wins the 2026 Associated Press (AP) NFL Coach of the Year award for the 2026-27 NFL season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by NFL rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the coach whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 NFL season is cancelled, postponed after February 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
The market resolves to Yes for whichever eligible head coach wins the Pro Football AP Coach of the Year award during the 2026-2027 season. Each outcome corresponds to a specific coach or the possibility of a tie/co-winners situation. Resolution is determined by the official AP award announcement for that season.
Prediction market odds often reflect sharper, more granular insights because they update continuously based on trader activity and can incorporate nuanced factors like recent performance or injury news. In contrast, sportsbook odds are set by analysts and may lag behind rapid changes. For this market, prediction markets may show tighter spreads of 18.8 and adjust faster to breaking developments, potentially offering better value for those tracking in-play dynamics.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can diverge due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading mechanics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one platform might attract more professional traders who bet on statistical edges, while the other could reflect broader public sentiment. These variations mean Polymarket currently favors Will Ben Johnson win the 2026 NFL Coach of the Year award for the 2026-27 NFL season? at 11.3%, while Kalshi leans toward Will Kyle Shanahan win the Coach of the Year? at 30.0%, creating distinct pricing landscapes.
This market resolves around Mar 30, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the award winner is officially announced and verifiable from credible public reporting. The Associated Press selects the coach through a vote of its panel of sportswriters and broadcasters, and that result determines the market’s final settlement across all platforms.
Key games, coaching performance metrics, and in-season awards often shift this market. A coach leading a surprise contender or winning major game awards may boost their odds, while controversies or underperformance can pull them back. Traders will also watch for changes in polling among AP voters, as well as any late-season surges or slumps that redefine perceptions before the voting deadline.
