Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
All three markets across Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official match outcome (Preston win, West Brom win, or draw) after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 18, 2026, with identical postponement and cancellation handling.
Primary resolution logic:
Official EFL Championship statistics and governing body records, with fallback to credible reporting consensus if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Preston North End win market resolves YES if Preston wins in 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise.
West Bromwich Albion win market resolves YES if West Brom wins in 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise.
Draw market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise.
Exactly one of the three markets will resolve YES (mutually exclusive outcomes).
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Preston and West Brom win markets resolve NO, and the draw market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the rescheduled match is completed. Resolution then occurs based on the actual match outcome.
Match Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no makeup game scheduled, the Preston and West Brom win markets resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES.
Extra Time and Penalties Excluded: Resolution is based only on the outcome after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not considered.
Resolution Source Hierarchy: Primary source is official EFL Championship statistics. If official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, credible reporting consensus is used as fallback.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by the EFL or governing body, or within 2 hours after match conclusion via credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed.
