Frequently asked questions

The dashboard for the Preston vs. Bristol City match outcome market aggregates real-time data across platforms, showing how traders price the likelihood of different results. It displays current probabilities, total volume of $1,091,235 and recent 24-hour volume of $1,083,597, letting users see consensus and divergence. Because this market is listed on multiple venues, the dashboard offers a single view of betting interest and sentiment shifts as the match approaches.

Differences in user bases, liquidity, and market design often cause Polymarket and Kalshi to price this market differently. Each platform attracts distinct traders — from retail users to niche communities — which shapes how probabilities are set. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, if one venue has deeper volume behind a particular outcome, its price may appear more extreme. Additionally, fee structures and order types can amplify or dampen these gaps, especially in low-volume environments.

Injuries to key players, weather forecasts, and tactical announcements often shift this market close to the match. Strong pre-game media narratives — whether confidence from a coach or fan buzz — can also sway trader sentiment. As the date approaches, any last-minute lineup changes or stadium updates may cause rapid price swings, especially if volume spikes on either Polymarket or Kalshi in reaction to breaking news.
