This market will resolve in favor of the player who records the most points across both teams at the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club, scheduled for September 24-27, 2026. A match won counts as one point and a halved match counts as one half point. If two or more players tie for the most points, this market will resolve to "Other". Total points is the only ranking criterion, and no secondary tie-break applies. If a listed player does not appear in the competition for any reason, that player's market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 Presidents Cup is postponed, this market will remain open until the competition has been completed. If the competition is cancelled, or no outright points leader is determined by October 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results published by the event organizers (https://www.presidentscup.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket, aims to reflect the true probabilities as perceived by the crowd. While sportsbook odds might initially appear different, they often converge as the event nears, with prediction markets sometimes proving more accurate in forecasting outcomes, especially when accounting for information not fully captured by bookmakers.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market operates as a prediction contract where traders can take positions on who will be the points leader in the 2026 Presidents Cup. The price of each outcome reflects the probability of that golfer winning, as determined by the collective actions of traders. Buying shares is akin to making a bet that a golfer will lead, while selling shares represents a belief they will not. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions based on available information.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final Presidents Cup points standings are verifiable from credible public reporting. The golfer with the most points at the conclusion of the event will be declared the winner of this market. Resolution will be based on the official points standings released by the tournament organizers, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome. Traders should monitor official sources for the final results to understand how this market will settle.
Performance in major golf tournaments leading up to the Presidents Cup will be a key driver of movement in this market. Strong finishes by potential contenders will likely increase their share prices, while disappointing results could lead to declines. Announcements regarding player participation—including any injuries or withdrawals—will also have a significant impact. Changes in world golf rankings or shifts in expert predictions could also influence trader behavior.
