Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of participants, potentially differing from those set by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and their own risk assessment, while this market is driven by individuals trading based on their own research and insights. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when public opinion strongly deviates from the sportsbook’s initial assessment. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd believes there is value or mispricing in the odds.
