Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess the probabilities. This can lead to differences, especially when there's significant public interest or disagreement about the likely outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders, potentially identifying information not yet fully priced in by bookmakers. It’s a valuable comparison point for anyone analyzing the potential results.
