On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price reflects the aggregate assessment of all traders, creating a dynamic and real-time forecast. This differs from fixed-odds betting, as the odds adjust based on supply and demand within the market itself.

Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team strategy, or unexpected performance in preceding matches could significantly impact trader sentiment. Public perception, analyst predictions, and even social media buzz can also play a role. A strong showing by either team in a warm-up event or a surprising announcement about their preparation could lead to increased trading volume and price fluctuations.
