Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders wagering real money on outcomes they believe will occur. Traders in this market have strong incentives to price accurately, since mispricing creates arbitrage opportunities. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal where public perception differs from professional oddsmakers, though both sources provide valuable signals for understanding match probabilities.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 100 cents, representing the implied probability traders assign to that result. As traders buy or sell shares, the price adjusts automatically. The spread between bid and ask prices reflects market depth and liquidity; tighter spreads indicate more confident pricing, while wider spreads suggest uncertainty or lower trading volume at that moment.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, once the Zhou vs Kozlov match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result reported by recognized tennis authorities and sports data providers. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as odds fluctuate with new developments, player news, or betting patterns. Resolution is automatic once the event is finalized and verified.
Several factors could shift odds significantly before Jul 20, 2026.
