If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders' beliefs. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the crowd perceives information differently than the sportsbook, or that one venue has more specialized knowledge about this match. It’s important to compare and contrast to form your own informed opinion on the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust, providing a dynamic assessment of the potential outcome. The current price of a share indicates the implied probability of that specific score being the final result of the Portugal vs. Costa Rica match.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official score of the Portugal U20 vs. Costa Rica U20 match will be used to determine the winning share(s). Any delays in official reporting may affect the resolution timeline, but the outcome will be based on the officially recorded result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final score to understand when this market will settle.
Several factors could influence the price action in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or even weather conditions could shift expectations and impact trading activity. Unexpected performance in other matches leading up to this game could also influence perceptions of team strength. Furthermore, any significant public analysis or commentary on the teams' chances could sway the crowd's sentiment and move the market. Monitoring these signals is key to understanding potential shifts in the odds.
