PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Cancellation/No-Match handling differs between platforms, particularly for the Draw market.Hero tip: Consider the likelihood of a cancellation and official result. Limitless's handling of a canceled game without an official result could lead to different outcomes than Polymarket.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, markets resolve to 'No' for win markets. The Draw market is not explicitly addressed, but would likely resolve 'No' by implication.
  • Limitless: If the match is canceled and no official result is recognized, the Draw market resolves 'YES' and the Win markets resolve 'NO'.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This event is for the upcoming EFL Championship game, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 between Portsmouth FC and Blackburn Rovers FC.

Kalshi

The event determines the winner of the Portsmouth vs Blackburn professional EFL Championship soccer match scheduled for September 19, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalties. Three distinct outcomes are possible: Portsmouth win, Blackburn win, or a tie. If the match concludes with either team winning within regulation time, the corresponding market resolves to Yes. Should the game end in a tie after regulation, the Tie market resolves to Yes. In cases where the match is cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets resolve to a fair price following predefined procedures. The event operates independently of official league affiliations, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.

Limitless

This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for September 19, 2026, 14:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those seen on Polymarket and Kalshi for the Portsmouth vs. Blackburn match, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and incorporate a profit margin, while prediction markets are driven by genuine user forecasts. This market reflects what participants believe will happen, creating a more accurate probability assessment, especially as more information becomes available. Sportsbooks may also react slower to new information or be influenced by biases, whereas this market dynamically adjusts based on collective intelligence. The difference can sometimes be significant, offering opportunities for informed traders.

Prices for this market may vary between Polymarket and Kalshi due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has a different user base, trading volume, and fee structure, all of which can influence price discovery. Additionally, the liquidity and depth of the market can differ, leading to discrepancies. While both platforms address the same question regarding the Portsmouth vs. Blackburn match, variations in participant risk appetite and information interpretation can also contribute to divergent pricing. These differences present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders can profit from price inconsistencies across venues.
