In the upcoming MLS game between Portland Timbers and Minnesota United FC, scheduled for September 5, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Portland Timbers vs. Minnesota United FC match originally scheduled for September 5, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect crowd-sourced probabilities rather than set bookmaker margins. While sportsbooks may adjust lines to balance action, prediction markets let traders bet directly on their beliefs, which can create sharper or more volatile pricing. For example, a scoreline that seems unlikely to bookmakers might attract heavy trading on Polymarket, pushing its implied chance higher or lower based on real user activity.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually set prices for each possible score outcome through buying and selling shares. The current odds you see reflect the aggregated beliefs of all participants, with liquidity concentrating around the most popular choices. As the match approaches, shifts in public sentiment, injury news, or form guide can cause rapid re-pricing, especially for less-likely scorelines that suddenly gain traction among users.
This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score recorded by official match reports determines the winning outcome, and the market automatically settles to that exact result shortly after the game concludes. No manual intervention is required — the platform checks publicly available sources to lock in the result.
Key moments like player injuries, coaching changes, or weather warnings can shift this market as they affect expected match dynamics. High-profile performances or recent head-to-head stats may also cause traders to re-evaluate certain scoreline probabilities. On Polymarket, any surge in trading volume toward a specific outcome — especially an underdog score — often signals new information has entered the market, prompting rapid price adjustments ahead of Sep 6, 2026.
