All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction markets like those on Polymarket and Kalshi derive odds directly from trader positions and volume, creating a real-time consensus price. Sportsbooks, by contrast, set odds based on models, sharp action, and margin targets. Prediction markets often reflect longer-term sentiment and can be more efficient when many informed participants trade actively. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injuries because they actively manage their books. For exact-score markets, prediction platforms typically offer broader outcome coverage than traditional sportsbooks, giving traders more granular betting options.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, all of which influence how prices form. Polymarket and Kalshi may also list slightly different outcome definitions or have varying levels of trading activity on specific exact scores. Regulatory frameworks and platform mechanics can also cause temporary divergence. Traders monitoring both venues sometimes exploit these gaps through arbitrage, though transaction costs and withdrawal delays typically limit pure profit opportunities. Over time, as information spreads, prices tend to converge.
Team news—injuries to key forwards or defensive players—can shift odds significantly, as can lineup announcements closer to kickoff. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions all influence trader expectations about goal-scoring patterns. Betting syndicates or sharp traders entering large positions can also move prices quickly. Late-breaking tactical changes or unexpected roster moves may prompt repricing across both platforms. As the match date approaches, volume typically increases, and prices stabilize once the teams take the field and early action becomes visible.
