Frequently asked questions

It's common to see differences between prediction market odds and those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set odds to reflect public perception and manage their own risk, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence in a particular outcome. Comparing these odds can provide valuable insights into where the 'smart money' is flowing, and whether there's potential for arbitrage opportunities.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated and represent the most current assessment of the event's potential results.

This market resolves around Sep 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Polysynskyi vs. Kulishov match, as determined by the governing sporting body. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of the winning outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies based on the final result.

Several factors could influence the movement of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in preceding matches could significantly shift trader sentiment. Publicly released analysis from sports experts, or even significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks, might also impact the odds. Furthermore, any updates on the match schedule or venue could introduce uncertainty and lead to price fluctuations in this market.
