Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven by the collective predictions of traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of prediction markets. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information, potentially leading to odds that diverge from, or converge with, sportsbook offerings.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will climb, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic pricing system that reflects the aggregated intelligence of the crowd.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Alcala Gurri vs Forejtek match, as determined by the governing body of the competition.
