Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets allow traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. It’s common to see this market’s implied probabilities diverge from initial sportsbook lines, particularly as new information emerges and traders adjust their positions based on their own research and analysis.
