Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before a significant amount of trading occurs. Analyzing these differences can be valuable, as prediction markets sometimes anticipate outcomes more accurately than traditional methods, though this is not always the case.
