This market tracks the outcome of the first 7 innings of the Pittsburgh Pirates vs Philadelphia Phillies professional baseball game scheduled for July 1, 2026 at 6:40 PM EDT. The result is determined by which team has the higher score after exactly 7 complete innings, or whether both teams have scored an equal number of runs.
Resolution is based on the score at the end of the first 7 innings of the Pittsburgh vs Philadelphia game originally scheduled for July 1, 2026 at 6:40 PM EDT. The market resolves to Yes for whichever outcome matches the actual result: Pittsburgh ahead, Philadelphia ahead, or tied score. If the score is tied after 7 innings, the Tie outcome resolves to Yes while all team-specific outcomes resolve to No. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and resolves after the rescheduled game concludes, within two days of the original scheduled date.
Prediction market odds reflect real-money commitments from traders and often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they incorporate live information, betting patterns, and collective market intelligence. While sports analysts may rely on historical statistics and team metrics, this market aggregates the views of many participants actively risking capital on the outcome. Comparing the two reveals whether professional consensus aligns with market pricing or whether traders are pricing in factors—such as recent form, injury updates, or bullpen availability—that analysts may weight differently. This divergence can highlight undervalued or overvalued positions relative to expert opinion.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices fluctuate based on supply and demand, with each share reflecting the market's probability estimate for the outcome. As new information emerges—lineup announcements, weather updates, or betting action—the price adjusts in real time. The spread between bid and ask prices indicates liquidity; tighter spreads suggest active trading, while wider spreads may reflect lower volume or uncertainty among participants.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the event concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by what occurs during the first seven innings of the Pirates-Phillies game, with the specific winning condition tied to whichever outcome option you selected at the time of your trade. Resolution happens automatically once the event data is confirmed, and your position settles based on whether your prediction matched the final result.
Several catalysts can shift odds before this market closes. Lineup announcements—particularly starting pitchers, key injuries, or late roster changes—often trigger sharp price moves since pitcher performance heavily influences early-game outcomes. Weather updates, especially wind direction and temperature, can affect ball carry and scoring potential. Betting action and sharp money flowing into one side can also move prices as the market reacts to informed traders. Team news, such as recent offensive slumps or bullpen fatigue, may influence how traders price the first seven innings relative to season-long trends. Monitoring these developments helps you identify potential value shifts.
