Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own modeling and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow traders to freely express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from expert analysis. Generally, prediction markets tend to be more accurate than sportsbook odds, particularly when there is significant volume, but it's important to compare both to gain a well-rounded understanding of the probabilities surrounding this market.
