Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. If you find a significant difference between the odds on Polymarket and those offered by sportsbooks, it could indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. This difference can be a valuable signal for informed bettors, though it is not always the case.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in Phoenix Rising FC to score first, the price of those shares will increase, reflecting growing confidence in that outcome. Conversely, increased selling pressure will lower the price. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions.

This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the Phoenix Rising FC vs. FC Tulsa match. The official match records will be used to determine the winning outcome. It’s important to note that any potential delays or postponements to the match could affect the resolution timeline, but the outcome will always be determined by the official result of the game.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or changes in team lineups for either Phoenix Rising FC or FC Tulsa could significantly shift predictions. Unexpected weather conditions that might favor one team's playing style could also impact the market. Furthermore, even the release of updated team statistics or expert analysis could cause traders to reassess their probabilities, leading to increased trading volume and price fluctuations in this market.
