This market focuses on which team will be the first to reach 14 points in an upcoming football game. It provides a way to speculate on the pace and scoring dynamics of the match, reflecting how quickly either team might establish a significant lead.
The market resolves based on which team first scores 14 points in the Philadelphia vs Chicago Pro Football game scheduled for September 28, 2026. If Chicago reaches 14 points before Philadelphia, the Chicago market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if Philadelphia scores 14 points first, the Philadelphia market resolves to Yes. Should neither team reach 14 points at any point in the full game, including overtime, the Neither Team market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, all markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets will resolve to a fair price.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the 'wisdom of the crowd,' potentially incorporating information and perspectives not fully captured by traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, leading to odds that can diverge from sportsbook offerings as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to breaking news or changes in team dynamics than sportsbooks, though the final outcomes will ultimately align with the real-world event.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. As more traders buy contracts for a particular team, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability of them reaching 14 points first. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth shows the available buy and sell orders at various price points, providing insight into the current supply and demand for each outcome. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the odds constantly adjust to reflect the latest information.
This market resolves around Sep 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team—Philadelphia or Chicago—reached 14 points first during the game. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and scoring as reported by recognized sports data providers. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in their account balances after the resolution process is complete. The outcome is determined by the official game score, not by any subjective interpretation.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or changes in team strategy would likely cause movement. Unexpected performance from either team in earlier games leading up to the event could also shift perceptions. Even seemingly minor details, like weather forecasts if the game is outdoors, or pre-game analysis from sports commentators, can influence trader behavior and thus the market price. A significant shift in public sentiment, perhaps driven by social media discussion, could also contribute to changes in the odds before Sep 29, 2026.
