On Polymarket and Predict, prices can diverge because each platform attracts different user bases and liquidity levels. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one venue might see heavier betting from fans of a particular team, skewing its odds. Additionally, each platform’s fee structure and trading volume — currently $290,733 — affects price discovery. These dynamics often lead to variations in the chances assigned to each outcome on the two sites.
Injuries to key players, weather delays, or changes in team performance leading up to the game could shift this market. High trading volume on either platform may also amplify price swings, especially as the event nears. Any news impacting team morale or lineup changes will likely cause traders to re-evaluate the odds, potentially moving the market significantly before settlement.
