This market focuses on the final quarter performance of an upcoming professional football game, assessing whether one team can establish a significant scoring advantage over the other in the last period of play. The outcome depends entirely on the points difference during the fourth quarter, excluding any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based solely on the point differential between the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears during the fourth quarter of their game scheduled for September 28, 2026, with overtime periods excluded from consideration. Each market has a specific threshold for the winning team's margin of victory that must be exceeded for a 'Yes' resolution. If the Philadelphia Eagles win the fourth quarter by more than 10.5, 7.5, 6.5, 3.5, or 2.5 points, or by more than 1.5 points, the corresponding markets resolve to 'Yes'. Conversely, if the Chicago Bears win the fourth quarter by more than 10.5, 7.5, 6.5, 3.5, or 2.5 points, the respective markets resolve to 'Yes'. No points scored outside the fourth quarter or during overtime count toward any market resolution.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small team of experts, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or breaking news. However, as the event approaches, this market tends to converge with sportsbook odds, as more information becomes available and traders refine their predictions. Keep in mind that both represent probabilities of an outcome, but are derived using different methodologies.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the 4th quarter. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to set accurate prices, as they profit from correctly predicting the outcome. The more traders participate, the more efficient the market becomes, and the more closely the prices reflect the true probabilities. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for real-time adjustments based on new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Sep 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final point spread of the 4th quarter of the Eagles-Bears game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result reported by the league, and will determine which contracts pay out and at what value. Traders who correctly predicted the 4th quarter spread will receive a payout based on the contract price at the time of resolution. The final score will be the determining factor for settlement.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Eagles or the Bears would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the passing or running game, could also shift the odds. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments announced before the game could also play a role. Finally, large trading volume from informed traders could indicate new information or a shift in sentiment, leading to price fluctuations in this market.
