Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi for the Biltmore Championship first round leader market can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different traders with varying risk appetites and information sets, leading to differing opinions on the likelihood of each golfer leading. Trading volume also plays a role; higher volume on one platform can indicate stronger conviction and potentially influence pricing. Furthermore, the specific mechanics of order matching and fee structures on Polymarket and Kalshi can contribute to price discrepancies. These differences create opportunities for arbitrage among informed traders.
