Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For exact-score markets, sportsbooks typically offer limited scoreline options with fixed margins, whereas this market allows traders to price every possible outcome. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where bookmakers may be overestimating certain results.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market uses an automated market maker model where prices adjust dynamically based on order flow and liquidity depth. Each exact-score outcome has its own contract, and the combined probability of all outcomes sums to 100 percent. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in specific scorelines; the more capital flowing into a particular result, the higher its price rises. This continuous mechanism ensures prices reflect the latest information and trader conviction throughout the event window.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals or points each team scores by the end of regulation time. No adjustments are made for extra time or penalty shootouts unless the market terms explicitly state otherwise. Resolution occurs shortly after the event is confirmed, allowing traders to settle their positions.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—can shift probabilities for specific scorelines, especially if key attacking or defensive players are unavailable. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day all influence trader expectations. Late-breaking tactical announcements or managerial decisions may also trigger repricing. As the match approaches, real-time developments such as early goals or red cards will cause sharp price swings, with outcomes involving the leading team becoming more likely and others fading accordingly.
