In the upcoming EFL Cup (Carabao Cup) game between Peterborough United FC and Barnsley FC, scheduled for September 15, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Peterborough United FC vs. Barnsley FC match originally scheduled for September 15, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. As more information becomes available – such as team news or weather conditions – the prediction market odds tend to converge towards what many believe is the true probability of each exact score, potentially offering a more accurate assessment than traditional betting odds. It’s a fascinating comparison of different forecasting approaches.
This market resolves around Sep 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official score of the Peterborough United FC vs. Barnsley FC match will determine the winning prediction. Any delays in the official result reporting may impact the exact resolution time, but the process is designed to align with the verified outcome of the game. Traders should monitor official sources for the confirmed final score to understand the resolution of this market.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Peterborough United FC or Barnsley FC would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to heavily impact the style of play, could also move the market. Additionally, any significant tactical announcements from the managers of either team, or even unexpected lineup changes revealed close to kickoff, could prompt traders to reassess their predictions and adjust their positions, leading to price fluctuations in this market.
