Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd and differing incentives. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction markets reflect the collective beliefs of informed traders. This market’s odds can be more sensitive to new information and expert opinions, potentially leading to more accurate predictions. Furthermore, prediction markets typically have lower transaction costs and allow participants to take either side of a bet, unlike many sportsbooks. The current implied probability in this market may differ from those offered elsewhere.
