While sportsbooks set initial lines to balance betting action, this market allows traders to dynamically adjust probabilities based on new information and analysis. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. Comparing the two can offer valuable insights into where the 'true' probability might lie.

The price of each share reflects the market's current estimate of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic representation of collective belief.
