Prediction market odds often differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks, reflecting the wisdom of the crowd and potentially incorporating information not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their internal models and risk management, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, access to unique data, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand within the prediction market. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks, potentially offering more accurate probabilities as the event approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts accordingly. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand; if more people believe Peretiatko Andrii will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event's likelihood.
This market resolves around Sep 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the official outcome of the Peretiatko Andrii vs. Polysynskyi match, as reported by the governing sports authority. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment. The resolution process is designed to be objective and based on established facts.
Several signals or events could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or strategic announcements from either athlete could shift the perceived probabilities. Unexpected results in related matches or tournaments might also influence trader sentiment. Furthermore, major shifts in public opinion, as reflected in social media or expert analysis, could drive trading activity and alter the market price.
