This market compares the stock price changes of PepsiCo, Inc. and Coca-Cola Company. This market will resolve to “YES” if the “Open” price of the TradingView (https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=NASDAQ%3APEP%2FNYSE%3AKO) 1-day candle for PEP/KO is strictly greater than 1.814636 on June 8, 2026, at 13:30 UTC. Otherwise, the market will resolve to “NO”. If, for any reason, the required 1-day “Open” price at the specified time cannot be retrieved from the website, the market will resolve based on the “Close” price of the most recent prior 1-day candle available on the site. For the purposes of resolution, all values will be rounded to six decimal places using standard rounding rules. If the website is unavailable for 72 hours after the scheduled resolution time, the market will resolve to “NO”, regardless of the reason.
The market resolves on Jun 8, 2026. Resolution is determined by comparing the weekly percentage gains of Pepsi and Coca-Cola stock over the specified period. The outcome depends on which company's share price appreciates more in percentage terms from the market's start date through the resolution window. Factors influencing the result include quarterly earnings reports, management guidance, competitive announcements, consumer demand trends, and broader market conditions affecting the beverage and consumer goods sectors. The exact calculation methodology and data source for final stock prices are established at market creation to ensure transparent and objective settlement.
Earnings announcements from either company can dramatically shift odds, especially if one beats or misses revenue and profit expectations. Product launches, marketing campaigns, or strategic partnerships may boost investor sentiment for one brand over the other. Dividend announcements or share buyback programs can influence stock price movements. Macroeconomic data—inflation reports, consumer spending trends, currency fluctuations—affects both companies but may impact them differently. Management commentary on pricing power, cost inflation, and market share gains or losses will be closely watched. Supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, or competitive actions from rivals can also trigger significant market repricing before Jun 8, 2026.
