This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128 match between Patrick Kypson and Mackenzie McDonald on June 29. The market resolves based on which player wins that specific set.
The market covers the second set of the Patrick Kypson vs Mackenzie McDonald professional tennis match at the 2026 Wimbledon Men Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation before play begins, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market's odds may lead or lag sportsbook lines depending on which venue processes new information faster. Comparing the two can reveal where professional bettors and prediction market traders disagree, sometimes highlighting value or consensus shifts before traditional oddsmakers adjust.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each player's chances of winning Set 2. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the marginal trade—the last executed transaction—and converges toward the true probability as more traders participate. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and improves price accuracy, while lower activity can widen the gap between bid and ask, affecting how efficiently you can enter or exit positions.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the Kypson versus McDonald match concludes and the Set 2 winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the second set according to official match records and tennis governing bodies. Until that point, this market remains open for trading, allowing you to adjust your position as new information emerges or as the match progresses.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Player form and recent match results, injury reports or fitness concerns, head-to-head history, court surface conditions, and weather forecasts all influence trader sentiment. During the match itself, momentum swings, set scores, and performance in key moments drive rapid repricing. Pre-match news—such as lineup changes, coaching adjustments, or betting syndicate activity—can also trigger significant moves. Real-time match updates and commentary often accelerate price changes as new information reaches traders.
