Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. On Limitless, odds emerge from real money at stake, creating incentives for informed traders to correct mispricing. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where consensus differs. Prediction markets tend to adjust faster to breaking news, whereas sportsbooks may lag due to operational constraints. Both sources offer valuable perspectives, but they answer slightly different questions about probability.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the last executed trade price, and new orders move the price up or down based on supply and demand. Traders profit by correctly predicting whether both teams will score, incentivizing them to incorporate all available information into their bids. The spread between buy and sell prices tightens as volume increases and more participants compete, making the market more efficient over time.

This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, once the match concludes and the final result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by whether both teams score at least one goal each during regular time. Once the match ends and official records confirm the scoreline, this market will settle to reflect the actual result. Traders holding the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless.

Team news—injuries to key strikers or defensive players—can significantly shift odds in either direction. Tactical announcements or lineup changes disclosed before kickoff often trigger sharp price moves as traders reassess scoring likelihood. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day all influence trader positioning. Betting exchange activity and social media sentiment can also cascade into market moves as traders react to emerging consensus. Late-breaking injury reports or unexpected lineup surprises typically generate the most volatile repricing, especially in the hours immediately before the match begins.
