Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake on outcomes. This market may show different probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, particularly if one venue has sharper information flow or different trader demographics. Comparing both can reveal where consensus is strongest or where outlier views persist.
