Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to trader positioning and liquidity dynamics. While sportsbooks may set their lines based on broader analytics and betting volumes, prediction markets let participants bet directly on outcomes, sometimes producing sharper or more volatile pricing depending on recent news and performance updates.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders collectively set the odds through their bets, which determines the current implied probability for each possible result. The platform updates prices continuously based on new trading activity, reflecting the latest consensus among participants. Higher volume typically stabilizes the price, while sharp betting spikes can cause rapid shifts.
