Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are priced by traders competing to forecast the actual outcome. This market aggregates the collective judgment of many participants, which can differ meaningfully from traditional sportsbook lines. Comparing the two can reveal where public opinion and professional oddsmakers disagree on the likely result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader bets into real-time probability estimates. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 1, where higher prices reflect stronger trader conviction. As participants buy and sell shares, the price adjusts continuously to reflect new information and shifting expectations. The spread between bid and ask prices reflects liquidity and uncertainty at any given moment.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which pair wins the final. Resolution occurs after the event is officially confirmed, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. Early resolution is possible if circumstances prevent the match from occurring as scheduled.
Player form, recent tournament results, and head-to-head records can all shift trader expectations before the final. Injuries or withdrawals announced close to match day would trigger sharp price moves. Court conditions, weather, and seeding announcements may also influence sentiment. Real-time match developments—such as early set outcomes or momentum swings—typically drive the most dramatic repricing as traders update their forecasts based on live performance.
