Description

This market refers to the Overwatch Upper bracket quarterfinal 3 match between Weibo Gaming and Team Liquid in the OCS Midseason Championship Group A, initially scheduled for July 29 at 8:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "Weibo Gaming" if Weibo Gaming win the match against Team Liquid. This market will resolve to "Team Liquid" if Team Liquid win the match against Weibo Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Weibo Gaming vs Team Liquid match displays real-time odds and price movement for the outcome of this best-of-three series in the OCS Midseason Championship Group A. Traders can monitor current probabilities, historical price charts, and 24-hour volume of $416 to gauge market sentiment on which team will advance. The interface lets you track how confidence shifts as the match approaches, providing transparency into collective prediction activity leading up to the event.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For esports matchups, prediction markets can offer sharper or more reactive pricing since traders respond instantly to roster changes, scrim results, and community sentiment. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception differs from professional oddsmakers' assessments.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability quotes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders back one outcome, the price adjusts upward; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. This continuous mechanism ensures the market reflects the latest information and trader conviction, allowing you to enter or exit positions at transparent, algorithmically-determined prices throughout the trading window.

This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, once the Weibo Gaming vs Team Liquid series concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will reflect which team wins the best-of-three matchup in Group A of the OCS Midseason Championship. Resolution timing depends on the actual match schedule and any potential delays, but the market will settle promptly once the final score is confirmed through official esports sources.

Several factors can shift trader sentiment before this market resolves. Recent team performance, roster announcements, or player substitutions can trigger repricing as new information emerges. Scrim results or community commentary on team form may influence confidence in either side. Additionally, meta shifts in the game patch or strategic innovations could alter perceived matchup dynamics. Real-time match developments—such as early map wins or momentum swings—will likely drive the most dramatic price movements as traders update their forecasts based on live performance.
