PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi market definition references tournament-level outcome (OCS EMEA Stage 2 2026 winner) rather than the specific match outcome between Twisted Minds and Al Qadsiah. This is a fundamental scope mismatch that makes Kalshi market logically incompatible with Polymarket's match-specific markets.Hero tip: Treat Kalshi and Polymarket as separate, non-comparable markets. Kalshi resolves on tournament winner (both teams could win and market goes Yes); Polymarket resolves on head-to-head match result (exactly one team wins). Do not arbitrage or hedge across these platforms assuming they measure the same event.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Tournament-level resolution: Market resolves Yes if either Al Qadsiah OR Twisted Minds wins the entire OCS EMEA Stage 2 2026 tournament. Both outcomes trigger Yes. This is not a match-specific market. Key Quote: 'If Al Qadsiah wins the OCS EMEA Stage 2 2026... then the market resolves to Yes. If Twisted Minds wins the OCS EMEA Stage 2 2026... then the market resolves to Yes.'
  • Polymarket: Match-level resolution: Four separate markets (match winner, Game 1 winner, Game 2 winner, games total) all resolve based on the specific June 28 match outcome between Twisted Minds and Al Qadsiah. Exactly one team wins the match. Resolution source: Liquipedia with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting. Key Quote: 'This market will resolve to Twisted Minds if Twisted Minds win the match against Al Qadsiah. This market will resolve to Al Qadsiah if Al Qadsiah win the match against Twisted Minds.'
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Overwatch match between Twisted Minds and Al Qadsiah in the OCS EMEA Stage 2 Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 28 at 2:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "Twisted Minds" if Twisted Minds win the match against Al Qadsiah. This market will resolve to "Al Qadsiah" if Al Qadsiah win the match against Twisted Minds. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the final result of the OCS EMEA Stage 2 2026 Overwatch match between Al Qadsiah and Twisted Minds originally scheduled for June 28, 2026. The market resolves based on which team wins the match.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets rely on trader consensus and arbitrage to discover prices. This market may show wider or narrower spreads than conventional sports betting platforms, depending on liquidity and information flow. Comparing this market's implied probabilities to major sportsbook lines can reveal where one venue perceives edge or where new data has shifted sentiment faster on one platform than another.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and regulatory frameworks, all of which influence price discovery. Kalshi and Polymarket may weight recent team performance, roster updates, or head-to-head history differently based on their user base's information set. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these gaps, but temporary divergences persist due to withdrawal delays, fee structures, and platform-specific trading mechanics. Monitoring both venues helps identify where consensus is strongest and where outlier pricing may signal hidden information or liquidity constraints.

Key catalysts include roster announcements, player substitutions, or injury updates affecting either team's starting lineup. Recent scrim results, patch changes to the Overwatch client, and performance in preceding group stage matches will likely shift trader positioning. Media coverage of team momentum, coaching changes, or strategic meta shifts can also trigger repricing. Closer to the match date, warm-up match outcomes and official team confirmations typically drive final adjustments as uncertainty narrows and the event becomes imminent.
