PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms use identical resolution sources (Liquipedia primary, credible reporting fallback), apply the same 7-day delay threshold, treat forfeits/disqualifications consistently, and resolve incomplete or canceled matches to 50-50.

Primary resolution logic:

Official Liquipedia Overwatch page (https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page); credible reporting and video evidence if Liquipedia does not publish final results within 2 hours of event conclusion.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner resolves to the team that wins the best-of-3 series (first to 2 game wins).
  • Individual game markets (Game 1, Game 2) resolve to the winner of that specific game if completed.
  • Games won by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default count toward the series total if the match is completed.
  • Total games over/under 2.5 resolves to Over if 3 or more games are played; Under if fewer than 3 games are played.
  • If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to opponent forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, the match resolves to the winning team; however, incomplete individual games resolve to 50-50.
  • Pre-match forfeits, disqualifications, or walkovers (team withdraws before start) resolve the match to 50-50.
  • Cancellations, ties, or delays beyond 7 days from scheduled date without a winner determined resolve to 50-50.

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Incomplete match with in-progress forfeiture: If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to opponent forfeiture/disqualification/walkover, the overall match resolves to the winning team. However, any individual game market (Game 1, Game 2) that was not completed resolves to 50-50.
  • Pre-match forfeiture or withdrawal: If a team forfeits, is disqualified, or withdraws before the match begins, the match resolves to 50-50 (not to the other team).
  • Delay beyond 7 days: If the match is delayed more than 7 days from the scheduled date (April 4, 2026) without play beginning or without a winner determined, all markets resolve to 50-50.
  • Liquipedia publication delay: If Liquipedia does not publish final results within 2 hours of event conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting and video evidence may be used as the resolution source.
  • Team name discrepancies: Minor spelling variations, abbreviations, sponsor tags, or regional identifiers will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within OCS North America Stage 1.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon completion of the match (first team to win 2 games in the best-of-3 series). If the match is not completed by 7 days after the scheduled date (April 4, 2026), or if it is canceled, all markets resolve to 50-50. Resolution source publication must occur within 2 hours of event conclusion for primary source (Liquipedia); if not, credible reporting is used.
