This market refers to the Overwatch Upper bracket semifinal 1 match between Spacestation Gaming and LuneX Gaming in the OCS North America Stage 2 Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 3 at 4:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Spacestation Gaming" if Spacestation Gaming win the match against LuneX Gaming. This market will resolve to "LuneX Gaming" if LuneX Gaming win the match against Spacestation Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader conviction and real-money risk. This market aggregates the beliefs of many participants with financial skin in the game, sometimes surfacing edges that traditional oddsmakers miss. However, sportsbooks benefit from sharp professional bettors and sophisticated risk management. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd's consensus differs from professional consensus, though neither is inherently more accurate.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds continuously as traders buy and sell outcome shares. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the aggregate belief of all participants; as more capital flows toward one team, its implied win probability rises and the opposing team's falls. Liquidity depth and order flow patterns influence how quickly prices move in response to new information. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before market close, and the final price snapshot at Jul 4, 2026 determines settlement.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the playoff match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the best-of-three series; the first team to secure two map victories advances and triggers resolution in their favor. No ambiguity typically surrounds Overwatch esports results, as match outcomes are broadcast live and confirmed by official league records. Resolution is straightforward and final once the series ends.
Key catalysts include roster changes or player substitutions announced before the match, recent tournament results and head-to-head records, and any public statements about team form or strategy. Injury or availability updates for star players can shift implied odds significantly. Pre-match analysis from esports commentators and community sentiment may also influence trader positioning. Betting syndicates and sharp action often move prices in the final hours before the series begins. Live map results during the match itself will drive intra-event volatility as traders react to real-time performance.
